Peter DelGreco, president and CEO of Maine & Company, grew up in Reading, MA.  He went to high school at St. Johns Prep in Danvers, MA.  DelGreco moved to Maine to attend Colby College.  DelGreco told Steove how after Colby, he went to Washington D.C. and worked for a gourmet food service company.  While living in D.C. DelGreco read about Maine & Company and always kept an eye on the company.  After a few years, he returned to Maine and  earned his MBA from the University of Southern Maine.

In 2004, while finishing his MBA at USM, DelGreco had the opportunity to work at Maine & Company.  He started as Director of Client Services, and then as Vice President of Operations.   DelGreco now serves as President and CEO.

Maine & Company provides confidential, free consulting services to businesses looking to relocate to Maine or expand within Maine.  Their services include real estate site searches, data collection and analysis, incentives identification and valuation, workforce examination, and financing coordination.  Whatever a businesses needs are, Maine & Company can help them select a location that best meets their needs.

Maine & Company is a private, non-profit corporation with members and a board comprised of senior executives from Maine’s top businesses.  DelGreco told Stevoe how Maine & Company got its start back in 1996 with the help of Governor King and the Portland Chamber of Commerce.  During this time, states needed to show they were in partnership with businesses and that there was private and public sector involvement.

DelGreco has worked on Maine & Company’s most recent and largest successes, including Carbonite, T-Mobile, Boston Financial Data Services, NotifyMD, and athenahealth.
