Show 104: Senior Vice President of Seabury APG Joel Antolini

Joel Antolini, Senior Vice President of Seabury APG, has an undergraduate degree in Philosophy from Hamilton College in Clinton, New York and an MBA from Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.  Antolini told Stevoe that after graduation he thought he was going to be a lawyer, but after trying it for one month he knew it wasn’t for him.  Antolini has spent almost 10 years of his career in the Network Planning and Marketing departments of US Airways.

In 2000, Antolini started with Seabury APG and in 2001 became the Senior Vice President.  Seabury APG is a highly specialized management consulting firm focusing exclusively on aviation planning and management.  The firm’s tight focus is designed to serve clients who demand detailed, thoughtful and responsive analysis.

Antolini is also the Chief Marketing Officer of an aviation-focused IT company named Diio.  Diio was founded as an off-shoot of Seabury APG in 2003.  The tools they build are in use by 400 airlines, airports, manufacturers, policy makers, travel professionals and destination marketers worldwide

Both Seabury APG and Diio have about 35 employees and both are almost totally “virtual”—most employees lived scattered across the world.  Both companies are also soundly profitable, indicating how employees don’t need to be in a central office to be successful.
